An exciting new baby food venture is opening in Dorchester’s Antelope Walk – Joey’s Family Food. Opening its doors in April 2022, Joey’s Family Food offers nutritious and healthy frozen baby foods, perfect for taking the guesswork out of weaning.
Based in Unit 17 of Antelope Walk, the team at Joey’s will prepare the meals onsite, with a dedication to the best ingredients for little ones.
Libby Gower, founder of Joey’s Family Food comments: “We believe that every child should be given the opportunity to eat healthily from the start. We offer a variety of flavours and textures introducing children to an exciting fun world of food. Joey’s works to promote a healthy happy relationship with food, developing positive eating habits for life. The wide range of ingredients we use allows you to serve up things that you might not have usually thought of or had the confidence to try and cook.
We’re very excited to welcome customers through our doors at Antelope Walk – it’s a beautiful central location in Dorchester – perfect for a stroll with the pushchair!”

Prior to setting up Joey’s Family Food, Libby worked for six years in food development, including quality control and supply chain management. Whilst working at Sainsbury’s Libby helped to develop the Sainsbury’s own brands and these products consistently won Quality Food Awards & Great Taste Awards. Since becoming a Mum herself, Libby recognised the challenge of weaning and how daunting it can be to find tasty and nutritious foods to wean babies and toddlers onto.
Pippa Gibb, marketing at Antelope Walk comments: “Joey’s Family Food is a great addition to Antelope Walk, offering nutritious and delicious frozen meals perfect for weaning babies and toddlers. This type of business fits perfectly with the scheme, encouraging the local community to come and explore and also take something positive away. Antelope Walk really is a hub for these brilliant local, vibrant, independent businesses.”
Antelope Walk has undergone a huge transformation with repairs and maintenance on the historic buildings completed, and exterior redecoration of each individual unit with beautiful, muted Farrow & Ball tones. Antelope Walk is now welcoming new tenants with only a few units now left to let.
The Walk offers a quaint and charming shopping location with independent boutiques and food offerings, surrounded by the rich history of Dorset’s County town.
Antelope Walk is a must-see for any prospective business or start-up looking for retail space.
